Barres Armature is a manufacturer of special application industrial valves, located in Moscow, Russia.
The company specializes in the production of direct-acting automatic valves. This is a valve that works automatically, but does not require the use of external control devices (actuators) and sensors, since it is controlled directly by the energy of the operating medium. The main part of this group are self-acting pressure regulators.
Our products are widely used in technological and transportation pipeline systems of various industries: oil, gas, chemical, energy, metallurgy and many others.
Background
The company Barres Armature was established in 2011 as a Russian branch of the well known German valve producer Mankenberg GmbH, initially operating under the name OOO Mankenberg. In 2022, Mankenberg GmbH discontinued its involvement with the Russian sector due to geopolitical factors. Following this, OOO Mankenberg launched the project "Barres" aimed at designing and manufacture of pressure regulators within Russia. Currently, Barres is a fully Russian enterprise, engaged in the development and production of pressure regulators for both domestic and global markets.
The company engineers have a high level of professional qualifications and large experience. This is crucial for the successful design and manufacture of specialized products. We are confident that our competencies will allow our customers to maintain the possibility of using advanced technologies in this area and ensure safe and effective operation of pipeline systems.
The project "Barres" is supported by the Government Commission of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The project equipment is manufactured under the registered trademark "Barres".
Company history
The origins of the Mankenberg firm extend over 140 years, tracing back to the era of early steam engines utilized in locomotives and steamships, when the challenges of managing water and steam pressure emerged. The company has been present in Russia for roughly two decades. Throughout this period, a significant wealth of technical expertise and hands-on experience has been gathered. This enabled the engineers in the Russian branch to persist in advancing and manufacturing valves following the conclusion of collaboration with the German headquarters in 2022.
